If I were to describe my ideal afternoon, it would certainly include champagne, indulgent food, and a lot of laughs — all enjoyed alongside the company of my best friend.

Petrossian West Hollywood is the perfect setting to achieve just that. The upscale restaurant, located on Robertson just north of Beverly, is the answer to all your champagne wishes and caviar dreams.

Not local to the area? You can find the caviar purveyor in nearly every major food capital outside of Los Angeles: New York City, Las Vegas, and various locations throughout Europe.

We all know caviar is associated with opulence; in fact, the tiny pearls can sometimes cost up to $300 per ounce. Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor are among Hollywood’s most iconic stars that shared the distinct acquired taste. Taylor, especially, was known for consuming enormous quantities, even implementing the tiny morsels into her skincare regimen.

Though no longer exclusively reserved for the rich and famous, [good] caviar is hard to come by. That’s where Petrossian comes into play.

We enjoyed several caviar varieties over the course of two hours. We delighted in each dish at a leisurely pace; after all, food is not to be simply tasted, but it is to be experienced.

This is one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I’m not kidding. My favorite dishes included the Napoléon Tartare and the Smoked Salmon Flatbread. Nicole’s favorite dish was the Croque Madame.

Without further ado, here are some photos of our culinary adventure. Bon appétit!

The macarons were delicious! We tried two unexpected flavors: mango and smores!

We each topped off the decadent afternoon with almond milk lattes. This is my absolute FAVORITE way to end a meal!
